The purpose to enact the CONSUMER LAWS is for the better protection of the interests of consumers and for the purpose of making provision to provide speedy remedy to the victim of unfair trade practices and misleading advertisements. The definition of “Consumer” has been defined under section 2(7) of Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
